UNIBEN issues guidelines for resumption, Virtual Matriculation


The Management of University of Benin (UNIBEN) has released guidelines for resumption and second Virtual Matriculation Ceremony for the 2020/2021 Academic session.

The Public Relations officer (PRO) of the University, Dr (Mrs.) Benedicta Ehanire, said on Tuesday in a statement on Tuesday.

She said two selected students each from the Facilities are to be physically present at the venue of Matriculation billed for Tuesday August 10, 2021 while the rest of the Matriculation students will be sent the Zoom links via their portals for their participation.

Besides, fresh students are expected to come into the Halls of Residence on Sunday 8th August, 2021, while their on-line clearance and registration continue on Monday August, 9, 2021 under the guidelines issued by Vice Chancellor, Professor Lilian Salami, on behalf of Management of the institution.

The Management stressed that “students will neither be allowed into the Halls of Residence nor registered for courses without payment of school charges” upon resumption.

According to the Management, “Old students are expected on campus on Sunday August 15th, 2021, to commence registration of Courses on Monday August 16, 2021 after payment of school charges.
Registration by all students closes on Friday September, 3rd 2021, after which date, students will no longer have access to the portal of the University”.
