Court returns Soludo as APGA Candidate in Anambra poll

A High court in Awka, Anambra State Capital, has returned, Charles Soludo, as the Candidate of the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA for the November 6, 2021 governorship election in the State.

APGA/A VOTER CASTING HIS BALLOT INTO INEC BOX

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, had on July 16, 2021, substituted the names of Soludo, and his running mate, Onyekachi Ibezim from the list of cleared Candidates for the election and replaced them with Chukwuma Umeoji and Obiageli Orogbu as the Candidate and deputy governorship Candidate of APGA over a court court.

The Commission also removed from the list are the Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Valentine Ozigbo, and the deputy governorship Candidate, citing a subsisting court order on the primary that produced them.

But on Monday, Justice Charles Okay of Awka High Court, has reinstated Soludo as the valid Candidate of APGA.
