Three soldiers reportedly died after an explosion planted by the Nigerian army went off at the entrance of 27 Task Force Brigade in Buni Gari in Gujba Local Government Area of Yobe State, leaving unspecified number of personnel injured.
The roadside bomb which was planted by the Nigerian Army against Boko Haram insurgents, detonated on Thursday after being triggered by a lightning, according to multiple reports.
The onslaught comes as new military Chief Faruk Yahaya began introducing new measures to contain insecurity and insurgency in the hotbed in the North East.
A confidential military sources hinted TheNewspad that the spokesman for the Nigerian Army, is expected to issue a Press statement on the incident soon.
But, the source declined further comment about the identity of the slain soldiers.
