The federal government has empowered 922 entrepreneurs and farmers in Jigawa State with agricultural machineries and equipment.

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo made the presentation on Thursday at the 28th Edition of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Clinic in Dutse, Jigawa State.
Osinbajo acknowledged the efforts of the participants and promised that the federal government will continue to give support and provide an enabling environment for their businesses to thrive.
He also commended the State Governor for collaborating with the federal government in the implementation of the federal government programmes in the State for the benefits of the people.
On his part, the Jigawa State Governor, Mohammed Badaru, thanked the federal government for providing various social interventions to provide for vulnerable people in the State.
In a remark, the minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Mariam Katangu, challenged States and Local Government across the federation to identify needs and specific areas of comparative advantage particularly in agriculture for resource endowment and strive to optimise competencies.
