A yet-to-be identified Cab driver has reportedly attacked a revenue enforcer in Edo State with a knife over the sum of N400 ticket, sending shivers down the spines of residents in Benin.
The incident occurred at 3: 40p.m on Thursday at Textile Mill road junction in Uselu, Egor Local Government Area of the State.

Pandemonium broke out when three revenue enforcer intercepted a navy blue colour Audi 80 car driver at the junction and demanded for N400 daily ticket which he could not provide.
Two of revenue enforcers jumped into his car and upon sensing danger, the driver of the car brought out a knife and attacked one the revenue enforcers on his right hand while the other enforcer, was allegedly whisked away by the driver to unknown destination.
Investigation revealed that the injured driver, however retreated and was thereafter taken to hospital for medical attention.
A driver simply identified as Osahenrumwen who was caught up in the melee, expressed regret over the incident.
He wondered why officials of Egor Local Government revenue enforcers had to stop the sale of tickets by noon yet unleash revenue enforcers to oppress commercial vehicles drivers to pay between N5,000 and N10,000 fine for tickets that are unavailable.
Osahenrumwen who claim to be a driver however appealed to the government to regulate tax collection across the State to check abuse and corruption.
Mr. Osaheni Igbinigie, Head of Local Government administration in Egor Local Government Area, could not be reach for comment.
But a Staff of the Local Government, confirmed the incident, but he stated that he is not authorized to speak on the incident.
