A horrific road crash involving a corpse-laden ambulance car crashed with a immovable truck on Tuesday morning in Edo State, leaving some persons injured and causing traffic jam.

The collision which occurred at about 8:30a.m Benin-Lagos express road before Okada junction, Ovia North East Local Government Area of the State, also left Lagos-bound commuters and other road users stranded for hours.

Sources said some of mourners who accompanied the corpse for burial, sustained a minor injury in the crash.

Officials of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) have ferried victims to hospital for medical attention, according to reports from the area.
