There was pandemonium on Friday when angry youths set a truck a loaded with Cattle on fire in Anambra State, South Eastern Nigeria.
Police in Anambra State Command, DSP Toochukwu Ikenga, is yet to comment on the incident, which occurred at about 2p.m after the death of some Children hawking wares at Kwata flyover junction in Awka, Anambra State Capital.
A truck which was conveying cattle to an unknown location lost its brakes while descending the Kwata Junction slope, knocking down eight hawkers and injuring four occupants of two other SUV cars, which were all mangled.
Reports also said the whereabouts of the driver of the truck and the truck attendant were were unknown while resisting attempts to free the cattle before setting ablaze the truck and burning the Cattle.
Security personnel, fired gunshots to disperse irate youths who stopped attempts to tow the truck off the road to make way for free flow of traffic, amid panic.
The Nigerian Community on the social Media network has expressed disgust over behaviour the angry youths who chanted songs of solidarity in Igbo dialect.
