Police kick as gunmen kill two naval officers’ at Imo restaurant

Unknown gunmen have killed two naval officers attached to Air Force Regiment, Owerri, Imo State Capital.

The yet-to-be identified officers were murdered at a local restaurant to buy food at Naze Timber market on Friday by hoodlums, leaving residents of the area to scamper for safety.

The Commissioner of Police in Imo State, Mr. Abutu Yaro who disclosed this to newsmen, assured that the situation has been brought under control.

According to him, “Two Nigeria Air Force personnel were yesterday (Friday) killed at Naze Timber market by hoodlums and that was why Police personnel are there to mop up arrest”.

Yaro said the incident occurred around the park where the hoodlums stay to smoke Indian helm and from there they move to terrorise the people.
