Police operatives have stopped allege looting of Government property in Edo State Capital.

A WHEELBARROW LOADED WITH ELECTRICAL PARTS SUSPECTED TO HAVE BEEN AUCTIONED AT THE SECRETARIAT COMPLEX ON SAPELE ROAD IN BENIN CITY ON THURSDAY

Suspected hoodlums on Thursday stormed the Eight-storey building at the old Secretariat Building on Sapele road, is undergoing renovation.

But security personnel acting on intelligence report, stormed the venue to disperse hoodlums.

A popular Chief simply identified Ogbomo, said he lost his mobile phone during the standoff between security personnel and youths from Ogbelaka and environs.

Sources said some of the property that were removed from the Secretariat Building had been auctioned by persons who posed as agents of the Government before security personnel arrived the scene.
