A lioness to Ogba zoo and Nature park in Benin City has given birth to three cubs.

The cubs’ mother, was donated to the zoo by the Benin monarch, His Royal Majesty, Oba Ewuare II few years ago.

A zoo official said the cubs’ mother gave birth few weeks ago, but declined comment on the gender of the curbs.

The official explained that zoo keepers have been directed to be to limit human interaction with the cubs.
