Auchi Polytechnic Governing Council promises new dawn

The newly inaugurated Governing Council of Auchi Polytechnic has promised to prioritise rapid academic and infrastructural development in the Institution.

The Chairman of the Governing Council of Federal Polytechnic, Auchi, Edo State, Professor Stephen Ocheni made the remark shortly after his inauguration as Chairman of the Council of the Polytechnic on Tuesday in Abuja, the nation’s Capital.

Ocheni was a former Minister of State Labour and Employment.

He said he is fully abreast with the running of Polytechnic, having schooled and work with Polytechnic in the past assured that he would work closely with other Council members and management of the Polytechnic more efficiently to achieve the core mandates of the institution.

He described the assignment as a recognition for his unwavering commitment to the advancement of the body of knowledge in the Country, promising to use the present opportunity to do more for the education sector.

“I wish to sincerely appreciate and thank President Muhammadu Buhari for approving my appointment to serve in this capacity, and to express my readiness to make a difference in the life of the Institution i have been so appointed to serve”.

“Polytechnic remain one of the sure way for the Country to attain the much desired technological advancements, we must embrace, give it the needed support and encouragement to enable the country join the league of technologically advance nations”.

Ochoni also appealed to other members of the Governing Council towards achieving accelerated growth of the institution as top most priority.

He further expressed appreciation to all those that have identified with him since his appointment and inauguration.
