Gunmen suspected to be cultists at the weekend gun down a yet-to-be identified man in Benin.

The incident happened about 50 metres away from Uwelu police station Ojo Street, off Adolor road, Ugbowo in Egor Local Government Area of Edo State.

Investigation revealed that the hoodlums trailed the middle-aged man to his residence and shot him at a close range at about 7.p.m.

The three-man armed gang left the deceased in the pool of his own blood while residents in the area scampered for safety not to be hit by a stray bullet or a ricochet.
