Queen Elizabeth II has shared a touching tribute to her late husband, the Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Philip.
She described her Duke who died at Windsor Castle at the age of 99 as her source of strength, 73 years the Couple had been together.
The British Royal Family shared her Majesty, 94, portrait on social media, sitting along with a moving quote from the monarch about her husband from a speech she made celebrating their golden wedding anniversary in 1997.
She said: ‘He has, quite simply, been my strength and stay all these years, and I, and his whole family, and this and many other countries, owe him a debt greater than he would ever claim, or we shall ever know.’
The DailyMail said quoted her Majesty as saying that her husband’s death which was at midday on Friday, ordered the lowing of the Union Flag to half-mast outside Buckingham Palace.
