The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila has extolled the virtues of Yinka Odumakin.
Odumakin, was the spokesman of Afenifere, Pan-Yoruba sociocultural group, Yinka Odumakin whose died on Saturday.
The Speaker in a tweets, said, “Sad to hear of Yinka Odumakin’s passing. His contributions to democracy in Nigeria will not be forgotten. My condolences to Joe Odumakin and the family”.
Odumakin, was married to another activist, Dr. Joe Odumakin and he played a key role in the National Democratic Coalition (NADECO) that fought the regime of General Sani Abacha after the annulment of the June 12, 1993 election.
