…hoodlums demand N50m ransom
A non-serving Senator, Shehu Sani has described the kidnap of Eight Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) members in Kaduna as a tragedy.

The Missionaries were kidnapped in Kaduna while on their way to Kafachan Local Government area of the State for mission work.
Sani who said this in a tweet on Saturday, lamented that humans have become preys over the precarious situation.
He wrote: “The report of the Kidnapping of RCCG members along Kachia road in Kaduna is yet another tragedy. Bandits have turned our state into their hub; B4 one kidnap is resolved, another one is unfolding. Humans have become preys. On entry you meet their snare, on exit you meet their ambush”.
Meanwhile, a senior Pastor of the Church late Friday said the kidnappers have asked for the sum of N50 million as ransom to set free the hostages.

According to him, the abducted persons were adult missionaries, male and female, from Kaduna Province 1 going to Kafanchan for prayer work.
The Cleric who confirm the incident, said, “It’s true. It happened around 6:00 p.m. They are asking for N50 million.”
