The Coalition of Registered Political Party (CRPP) has tasked President Muhammadu Buhari to step up effort towards tackling farmers and herders conflicts in Nigeria.
Edo State Chairman of CRPP), Dr Samson Isibor made the remark at an award Ceremony in honour of some notable individuals in Benin City.
He predicted that if the herders and farmers conflicts are not urgently checked, it could lead to food scarcity.
Isibor also condoled with families of farmers who were killed by suspected herdsmen in Ugo Community, Orhionmwon and Ovia North East Local Government Areas of Edo State.
“Should the federal and state government government refuse to curtail these security vices particularly this farming season, indications are that the nation will enmesh in hunger and poverty”
“CRPP out rightly condemned President Mohammadu Buhari led administration for pampering the Fulani Herdsmen in their evasive quest to return the nation to a state of nature where life is short and nasty”, he said.
