FORMER GOVERNOR OF EDO STATE, COMRADE ADAMS OSHIOMHOLE (RIGHT) WITH THE STATE FORMER HEAD OF SERVICE, DR. SIMON IMUEKEMHE’S WIDOW, BARR. (MRS.) JOSEPHINE IMUEKEMHE (LEFT) SITTING ON A COUCH DURING A CONDOLENCE VISIT BY THE LATER ON FRIDAY EVENING

He said this when he paid a condolence visit to the family of late Simon Imuekemhe, former Head of Service (HoS) who served under his tenure as Governor of Edo State and two others.

The retired public Servant from Ikabigbo Community in Etsako West Local Government Area of the State, passed on Thursday, February 18, 2021 after a brief illness at the age of 66.

He told the family that a telephone call was not enough to honour Imuekemhe’s family during his visit, in company of some leaders of APC in Edo State led by the State Secretary of Edo APC Caretaker Committee, Mr. Lawrence Okah.

The former Governor of the State during the visit, recalled how Imuekemhe prevented him from sacking a Civil Servant which he later appointed as Head of Service (HoS) in the State.

He recalled the sterling qualities of Imuekemhe whom he appointed to head Edo Inland Revenue Board and SSG at different times.

Responding, the eldest son of the family, Mr. Alek Imuekemhe and the deceased Cousin, Mr. Adams Imuekemhe, thanked the delegation for the visit.
