A jealous lover, Chidube Onyema has reportedly murdered his girlfriend, Chinwendu, ending his ‘burning love’ for her.

She was allegedly shot in her vagina, and left him in the pool of her own blood in Umuokirie village, Okuku autonomous Community in the Owerri West Local Government Area of Imo State.

Spokesperson of the Nigeria police the state, Mr. Orlando Ikeokwu confirmed to reporters in the State on Monday.

SaharaReporters, quoted the police as saying that the suspect had been arrested and the case transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department in Owerri.

“Yes, it is true. The suspect has been arrested and the case has been transferred to Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Owerri, Imo State Capital, for more investigation and prosecution,” according to the police spokesman.

A concerned neighbour who craved for anonymity, recalled how a scuffle broke-out between the two lovers after the lady answered a phone call.

The source said, the angry had demanded to know the identity of the caller, but the deceased resisted the suspected murderer.

Irked by the development, the hunter, brought out a gun and shot his lover in her vagina.

Chidube Onyema, had attempted to escape, but, youths around the area, gave him a hot chase and held him while the deceased thereafter passed as a result of the injuries on her way to undisclosed hospital.

“The you man demanded to know who called her but she refused to tell him. He shot her in her private parts. He is our neighbour and a hunter”, the source lamented.
