Stock worth millions of Naira were consumed by fire on Saturday night at the popular Ore-Ogbeeni market by Ramat Park, Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area of Edo State.

The cause of the fire which started at about 10p.m, is yet-to-be ascertained; Even as security personnel attacked to the market, disappeared, amidst confusion.

Some traders at the market who stormed the market, were seen a video footage of the blaze, wept uncontrollably over their losses.

Youths who arrived the market to assist in putting out the fire, retreated due to the intensity of the blaze, and begun to watch helplessly and lamented the disaster.

Fire fighters have arrived the market opposite the Benin zonal Headquarters of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) as at the time of filing this report.

In September 2019, Ore-Ogbeni market was engulfed by an inferno which affected some parts of the market.
