No fewer that six persons were reported dead when a military aircraft crash-landed near the Nnamdi Azikiwe International airport.
The aircraft King Air 350 crashed, shortly after after reporting engine failure en route to Minna on Sunday.
The identities of the six persons on board including two crew who boarded the plan belonging to the Nigerian Air Force (NAF201), a B350 are ye to be established.
The Director, Press and Public Affairs, Federal Ministry of Aviation, James Odaudu, confirmed the incident to reporters, but did not give further details.
But sources said, the il-fated aircraft reported engine failure at time 1039 and crashed landed on the final approach path of Abuja Runway 22 at time 10:48UTC.
Fire fighters have arrived the scene to put out the fire.
