The Universa Nigeria Limited has launched its ride-hailing transport service in a bid to bridge transportation gap in Edo State.

The indigenous company offers a reliable travel to riders book cabs and taxi ride from the comfort of their homes with 175 fleet with car tracking device.
At the launch of the ride-hailing application on Wednesday in Benin City, the Chief Executive Officer of Universa Nigeria Limited, Mr. Ben Adeniyi said, the initiative was conceived to ease the stress of riders who still go to taxi parks to order rides.
He said the ride-hailing feature can also be used offline for “some riders may not have data on the application or by calling the hotlines where a driver where a driver will be directed to them or through its user application which is available for download on Google Playstore or IOS application store.
Adeniyi whose speech was delivered by the General Manager of the firm, Mr. John Oyakhilome, said the firm, offers free ride service to its riders in Edo State for indefinite period.
He said the company offers the sum of N70 per kilometres, N12 pee minute while its base fair per rider cost N260.
He also appealed to Edo State Government to build roads towards making transportation pleasurable.

Earlier at a town with drivers, Mr. Adeniyi, said the company will offer 90 percent bonus to its drivers who are expected to obtain a comprehensive insurance while 10 percent goes into the company, which intend to offer other benefits in both short term and long term.
