The All Progressives Congress (APC), Edo State Chapter, has commiserated with the Muslim leader in the State, HRH Haliru Momoh Ikelebe III, the Otaru of Auchi, Etsako West Local Government Area of the State on the death of former Minister of Information, Prince Tony Momoh.

Momoh, pioneer National Chairman of the defunct Congress for Progressives Change (CPC), passed on Monday at the age of 81 years after a brief illness.
In his condolence message, the Chairman of APC Caretaker Committee, Col. David Imuse (Rted), in a statement, grieved with the Otaru and Auchi Royal Family over the death of the prince, praying that God grants them, his immediate family and well-wishers the fortitude to bear the loss.
The condolence message was signed by the Assistant State Publicity Secretary of the party in the party, Mr. Victor Ofure Osehobo.
According to Imuse, “The news of the passing of Prince Tony Momoh, who served as National Chairman of Congress for Progressive Change, (CPC) one of the legacy political parties, that gave birth to the All Progressive Congress came to the APC family in Edo state with a heavy heart.
“Prince Momoh, a seasoned journalist who made his mark and rose to become the nation’s Minister for Information, was a gentle soul, and a patriot, who was nice everyone who crossed his path. He (Tony Momoh) was a Nationalist who radiated confidence in one Nigeria and, though a Prince, was humble and inspired many. We are deeply saddened by this loss.
“I pray that God grants the Auchi Royal family and all Edo people, the fortitude to bear this loss. On behalf of the leadership and membership of Edo State APC, I offer my deepest condolences”, the statement said.
