This followed the alleged killing of three Nigerians including two vigilance members by suspected herders on Monday in Ugo N’iyekorhionmwon, Orhionmwon Local Government Area of the State.

The Speaker of Talakawa Parliament, Marxist Kola Edokpayi disclosed this at a Press Conference on Wednesday in Benin City, the State Capital.

He also gave 72 hours to the State Commissioner of police, Mr. Phillip Aliyu Agbadi to either arrest and prosecute the alleged killers or face mass protest.

The Speaker of the Benin-based pressure group, accused some traditional rulers of aiding and abetting with the killer herdsmen to rescind any agreement they have entered with the invaders for their own selfish interest.

While enjoining the State Government to immediately documentation of genuine herders with a view to fish-out criminal elements from the State, urged residents of the State to boycott consumption of beef indefinitely in relation to mutual reciprocity.

“We have given the killer herdsmen 14-day ultimatum to quit our farmlands and forest in Edo State. We have not given them notice to leave Edo State so that our mothers and fathers can go to farm”, he said.
