Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State has pledged to relocate the Appeal court from Ikpoba Hill in Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area to Iguobasimwin Street in Benin City due to ravaging flood in the water-logged area.

The water ravaged Appeal court premises, which is usually flooded especially in wet season, was built by Chief Lucky Igbinedion-led administration and handed over to the federal Government.
The Governor disclosed this at the swearing-in of eight new judges appointed to serve in the State High Court on Monday.
“We reiterate our commitment to support the judiciary in the state and also the Federal judicial institutions in the State. Our administration is committed to relocating the Court of Appeal from Ikpoba Hill to Iguobasimwin Street in GRA.”
