A new Commissioner of police, Mr. Phillip Aliyu Agbadi, has been transferred to Edo State.

Mr. Agbadi arrived the State on Tuesday evening and assumed duty on Wednesday morning.
But the police Command in the State, is yet to officially announce his arrival.
Our Correspondent learnt that he was led to the his office soon after inspecting the sentry to welcome him to the Command.
Agbadi, was received by Deputy Commissioner of police Mr. Usman Yusuf in company of some senior officers at the police Command headquarters in Benin City.
Mr. Agbadi was the Commissioner former Special Protection Unit (SPU), Force headquarters in Abuja.
He replaced Mr. Johnson Kokumo who was recently promoted to the rank of an Assistant Inspector-General of police (AIG).
The new Commissioner of police who is an indigene of Kogi State, is expected to pay a courtesy call on Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki in the coming days.
