The Congress has certified Joe Biden as Donald Trump successor and 46th President of the United States.
His victory was certified by Congress in a joint session presided over by the US vice-president, Mike Pence, according to reports.
The lawmakers upheld the 306 electoral votes which Biden polled to defeat incumbent Donald Trump who scored 232 votes.
