The Vice President of the United States, Mike Pence narrowly escaped when angry mob stormed the Congress on Wednesday shortly after President Donald Trump allegedly incited them to do so.

The protesters stormed the venue during the ratification of November 3, 2020 US presidential poll in which the Candidate of the Democrat party, Joe Biden was declared winner by the electoral College.
According to the NBC, a police officer on the third floor of the building advised people to take shelter because protesters had got inside.
The NBC report said Senators were locked inside their chamber on the second floor of the Capitol building and protesters wearing Trump “Make America Great Again” hats and carrying flags were seen gathering outside the chamber doors.
Meanwhile, Washington DC, will be under a 6:00 p.m. curfew tonight, Mayor Muriel Bowser announced in a tweeted statement. It will remain in effect until 6:00 a.m. Thursday.
The Electoral College certification vote has been paused after protesters incited by Trump breached the Capitol building.
