Security operatives have arrested a human rights activist, Omoyele Sowore in Abuja.

According to Sahara Reporters, the Nigeria human rights activist, and former presidential aspirant, were allegedly arrested during a peaceful procession to mark the New year.
Witnesses said policemen suspected to be with the Rapid Response Squad stormed Gudu junction in Abuja and whisked him and some other Nigerians at the location.
