The Management of University of Benin (UNIBEN) has conveyed a Senate meeting for Monday next week.

Re-opening of the school for academic activities and other matters, have been slated for deliberation by the Senate, according a Memorandum from the office of the Registrar of the University, Mr. Clarkson Ehigiator on Thursday December 31, 2020.
The Memorandum, marked: “REG/SM/2”, invite all members of Senate to attend the the special meeting of Senate at 10a.m.
Acting Bursar of the University, Mr. Clarkson Ehigiator which was signed the Memorandum, dated Thursday December 31, 2020, outlined re-opening of schools for academic activities and any other Business as the agenda for the meeting which will be held in compliance Covid-19 protocol.
TheNewspad reports that lecturers in public Universities in Nigeria better known as members of Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) recently suspended its nine months old strike that crippled academic activities in tertiary institutions in the Country, following the disagreement on the payment platform by the federal Government, poor funding of Universities, and other issues of concern.
