APC vows to takeover Edo


The All Progressives Congress (APC), has hinted on plans to takeover the political leadership of Edo State.

It assured its members and supporters on Thursday that the “victory of evil over good is temporary…Edo is an APC State and that the victory of evil over good is temporary”.

State Assistant Publicity Secretary of APC, Mr. Victor Ofure Osehobo said this in his message to mark the 2020 celebration of the Birth of Jesus Christ.

The Chairman, Caretaker Committee of Edo APC, Mr. David Imuse, enjoined Christians to adhere strictly to the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) Covid19 prevention rules. It include wearing of face masks, handwashing and use of sanitisers and maintaining physical distance at all public activities.

Imuse, urged Christians to use the period to reflect on the teaching of Jesus Christ and draw inspiration from the love of Christ.

He also called on the Clergy and their followers to endeavour to pray for the nation’s leaders, so that they would be able to lead the Country on the path of peace, progress and development.

Three members of the party are in court with Governor Godwin Obaseki over alleged perjury and certificate forgery.
