The Edo State Public Works Volunteers scheme, PUWOV scheme has assured of a peaceful yuletide in the State.

Coordinator of the group, Mr. Mukhtar Yusuf-osagie disclosed this at an interactive session with newsmen on Thursday in Benin City.
He also assured that the redesigned security architecture of the Government will help to improve the security in the aftermath of the protest against police brutality and other related matters which led to destruction of some public and private infrastructure in some parts of Nigeria by hoodlums.
He further stressed that “the State government is harnessing available options including inter-agency security and PUWOV collaboration towards securing the State against criminal elements.
According to him, PUWOV and Edo State Traffic Management agency, EDSTMA, has worked out strategy on how to control traffic within Benin metropolis and other parts of the State. It will give vehicle owners and commuters easy movement during the yuletide season.
Yusuf-Osagie, however warned that “anyone who may wish to do anything against the norm would have himself or herself to blame as all the agencies, most especially, PUWOV would visit the full weight of the law on such a person”.
He explained that the mobile courts will be available to dispense justice as required by law.
