Tragedy was averted on Saturday evening when sex-starved policeman (name withheld) engaged in a marathon with a sex worker on Saturday evening at a popular red light district near police Area Command in Benin City.

The policeman attached to the Nigeria police headquarters, Zone 5, Benin, comprising Edo and Delta State.

The Cop, was said to have brought our his pistol and threatened to shoot the sex worker simply identified as ‘Chairlady’ for refusing to sleep with him ‘free of charge’ at the brothel.

The development caused pandemonium around the area as other sex workers and a “Chief security officer” attached to the brothel, scampered for safety during the melee which lasted for about 30 minutes.

The light in complexion sex worker in a skimpy dress, alleged that the policeman who is a regular visitor to the brothel, had borrowed undisclosed money from her before the incident.

According to the sex worker, “I will personally go to their office on Sunday to formally report him to his superior. I will ensure that they remove his uniform. He does not know me. He should go and ask his friends how I dealt with scorpion – soldier who messed up with me”.

“Is it by force to befriend a policeman. I am sick and tired of this man. How can you borrow you money from me and still want to sleep with me on credit, and stop me from hustling”, she lamented.

“He does not want to see any man around me. I got bills to pay. This brothel is not my father’s house…We pay rent everyday”.

As at the time our undercover reporter, visited the scene, the policeman who was decked in plain clothes (sky blue top and black trouser) with a pair of black shoes, sat akimbo beside the roasted meat (suya) stand in front of the brothel before he disappeared.

Another sex worker who preferred to be anonymous, hinted that the policeman, had taken some bottles of liquor at the pub before he went berserk.

SP Chidi Nwabuzor, the spokesman of the Nigeria police, Edo State Command, could not be reach as at the time of filing this report.
