The Nigerian government has announced N25 billion youths fund.
The initiative is part of efforts to address the End SARS protests and other related youth restiveness in the Country.
The minister of Finance, Zainab Ahmed disclosed at a stakeholder meeting with the Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Dr Hadiza Balarabe, held on Saturday in Kaduna.
The minister also revealed that the fund would be increased to N75bn within a period of three years.
The intervention fund, according to her is to support youths to actualise their innovative and entrepreneurial ideas in growing their businesses and becoming self-reliant.
Speaking further, Kaduna State deputy governor, Dr. Hadiza Balarabe, said the essence of the meeting was to seek out ways to tackle the security challenges during the End SARS protests.
He explained that the Federal Government was committed to initiating people-friendly policies and reforms aimed at creating jobs for the youths.
