Suspected Thugs acting at the behest of one Mr. Unuamen, former member of the proscribed Community Development Association (CDA) in Okhun Community in Ovia North East Local Government Area of Edo State have put a Commercial Motorcycle operator, better known as ‘Okada rider’, Mr. Solomon Noah in coma with a fractured skull.

The 32-year-old father of two Children, was set up in the brutal attack by the hoodlums over a minor disagreement between Unuamen’s wife and the motorcyclist who was accused of dropping a passenger in front of his residence in the Community at the Weekend.
Speaking on the provision incident, Mr. Promise Noah, younger brother of the injured victim, alleged that pathetic Nigerians helped to restrain his mindless attackers from killing the father of two Children before admitting him to a private hospital.

Noah alleged that his brother was ‘beaten with iron rod’ the breadwinner of the family for death.
He also appealed to the law enforcement agency to ensure that justice is served to the victim in order to stop act of impunity.
According to him, “My brother condition is serious. He still vomits blood. “Police arrested the Couple after the incident.
“We went to a private hospital, they said that they cannot treat him and we were advised to take him to Central in Benin City and thereafter took Mr. Solomon who hails from Rivers State, to the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) in Benin City.
“But, few days after they were released by the police with assurance that the case would be charge to court after the public holiday to mark Nigeria 60th Independence anniversary.
Noah further alleged that all the savings his they had put together to establish a cement business to enable his brother stop commuting with motorcycle has drained out due to the outrageous bills for his brother’s treatment.
Two suspects have been questioned by the Nigeria police in connection with the alleged assault, but no one has been charge to court.
A police source at Ekiadolor police station where the case was reported, are appealing for witnesses to come forward for prosecution of the suspected culprits.
Spokesman of the Nigeria police, Edo State Command, Mr. Chidi Nwabuzor in response to the inquiry by our Correspondent on Friday, promised to call the DPO in charge of at Ekiadolor Ekiadolor Division.
“I need to get the brief and possibly about details of what happened”, he said.
Edo State government had in April 2017, enacted a law to prohibit forceful and illegal occupation of landed property by Community Development Associations in the State.
The bill for the establishment of law banning CDA, was at the instance of the Benin monarch, His Royal Majesty, Oba Ewuare II. His intervention helped in a great deal in bringing the reign of terror to a halt.
Three years, the implementation of the law has recorded full compliance in some areas, while others, have had partial compliance due to the inability of former members of the outlawed group to adapt to the reintegration programme of the State government.
