Obaseki: How I received news of Auchi Polytechnic Rector’s death

Edo State governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki has said that he received news of the passing of the Rector of Federal Polytechnic, Auchi in Edo State, Dr. Momodu Sanusi Jimah with a heavy heart.

This was contained in a condolence message on Saturday to the Management of the Institution and family of the Rector who died on Friday evening at the age of 60.

The statement described Dr. Jimah was an astute administrator who contributed to the growth of Auchi Polytechnic, ensuring stability and development of the institution.

According to him, “It was with a heavy heart that I received news of the passing of the Rector of Auchi Polytechnic, Dr. Momodu Sanusi Jimah. I condole with the management, staff and students of the institution over the death of Dr. Jimah.

“As an administrator, late Dr. Jimah brought his expertise to bear in the transformation of the institution, providing leadership to steer the institution aright upon his appointment as Rector”.

The governor commiserated with the family of the deceased, praying that God will grant them the fortitude to bear the loss.

The decease was buried at the early hours of Saturday in accordance with Muslims rites.

The residence of Dr. Jimah in Auchi, Etsako West Local Government Area of the State has become a a Mecca of sort as friends and family members have continue to pay tributes to the departed Academic.
