Nigeria has signed the Instrument of Ratification of the Doha Amendment of the Kyoto Protocol to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCC).

President Muhammadu Buhari Nigeria’s commitment to all obligations and stipulations outlined in the Protocol on Friday on behalf of the Country.
He disclosed this on Friday night via his tweeter handle.
The tweet reads: “Today on behalf of Nigeria I signed the Instrument of Ratification of the Doha Amendment of the Kyoto Protocol to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCC). I am affirming Nigeria’s commitment to all obligations and stipulations outlined in the Protocol”.
Going forward, Nigeria has now joined 143 other Countries that have accepted the Doha Amendment and fully pledged their commitment to the Convention both in practice and principle.
