Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has predicted victory for Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) during Saturday Governorship election in Edo State.

Mr. Abba Anwar, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Kano State disclosed this in a Press statement issued on Monday in Benin City.
The Governor has commended Ize-Iyamu for given good account of himself and APC programmes and manifestoes for Edo State at a debate which was organised by Channels television on Sunday.
He revealed that, “What transpired yesterday at gubernatorial debate, organised by Channels television and other stakeholders, between our governorship candidate, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu and PDP’s candidate Godwin Obaseki, shows that, ours is issue-based process.”
He stated that, “In all the areas discussed during the debate, it appears to all that our great party, APC is ready to take Edo state to higher levels. Our programmes in the areas of security, education, health and all other areas show that our party is determined to better the living condition of Edo people.”
Describing how Ize-Iyamu challenged incumbent governor Obaseki, governor Ganduje argued that APC’s Pastor Ize-Iyamu knows his onion, adding that, “Looking at the trend and manner in which the debate went on, it appears to all that APC is in top gear and determined to win the Saturday election.”
Ganduje, assured Edo people that, looking at the debate that took place between the APC Gubernatorial Candidate, Ize-Iyamu and the incumbent governor, Obaseki,
“…Edo will be saved from the clutches of underdevelopment and retardation”, the statement said.
