The Candidate of the Peoples Democratic party (PDP) for the September 19, 2020 Governorship election in Edo State, Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has disclosed plans to train ‘repentant internet fraudsters’ otherwise called ‘yahoo boys’ on vocational skills in his proposed technology park in the State.

Obaseki stated this on Friday at PDP Campaign rally in Ward 6, 7 and 9, Egor Local Government Area of the State where he said his Government has executed over 2000 projects in the State since he was elected as Governor of the State.
The Governor said, “I will young boys who use to do yahoo to work in our technology park. We will train them and clean them to become more useful to society”.
He revealed that he has kept fate with residents of Egor Local Government Area, following the reconstruction of the Benin Technical College.
The PDP Candidate promised to bring 50 Megawatts of energy from the Independent Power Plant at Ihovbo near Azura in Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area of the State to the remodelled Technical College via Ikpoba Hill, will help to put idle hand to work and create employment for many youths in the State.
He said the College has more than 100 hectares of land which his Government has fenced round to prevent intruders.
According to him, “we have done over 2000 projects in Edo since the past four years. What we have done in four years, is note than what Oshiomhole did in Eight years.
“So, when they get up and say that Obaseki has done nothing in the past four years, is a lie”, he said.
Obaseki, urged voters in the locality to vote PDP and defend their votes, adding that “the opposition that we will win these election…”
Addressing party faithful at the rally, Chairman of PDP Campaign Council, Chief Dan Orbih, said the incumbent administration led by Governor Godwin Obaseki has performed better than his predecessor, Adams Oshiomhole.
He explained that the intervention of the Government in infrastructure and reforms in the State judiciary have endeared PDP to the people.
