The Peoples Democratic party (PDP) on Friday flayed the reported attacks on its members and supporters, ahead of the September 19, 2020 Governorship election in Edo State.

It also sent a soul-searching message of caution to merchants of evil that the meekness of the Candidate in the election, Governor Godwin Obaseki should not be taken for granted.

The deputy Director-General of PDP Campaign Council, Engr. Gideon Ikhine said this at Ora Ward 6 rally in Ovia South West Local Government Area of the State.

“Everywhere we go, they will go and destroy our campaign materials and sometimes beat up our supporters

“Let us be serious…The laws and power are in the hands of the Governor. His simplicity should not be insulted. Is it because he is quiet?

“We are taking over these State for the good people of Edo State.

“Our Governor is quiet like Christ, but he will be re-elected like a lion. Obaseki is the tribe of Edo State”, he said, nobody can rig election in Edo State”.

Ikhine who urged eligible voters in the area to vote PDP for continuity and protect their votes, noted that PDP is sure of victory in the poll due largely to the calibre of trusted and reliable personalities it parades.

“Anybody that wants to rig these election should either have a re-think or prepare a lace where he will be buried, he said.

Addressing the PDP supporters in the area, Governor Godwin Obaseki, promised to empower the farmers with advance technology that would enable them to cultivate large far s and create a market for them.
