The Edo State Governor and Candidate of the Peoples Democratic party in the September 19, 2020 Governorship election in the State, Mr. Godwin Obaseki has vowed not to turn his back on the plights of rural dwellers in Edo State.
He made the remark when his re-election campaign train berthed in Etsako Central Local Government Area of the State on Monday.
Obaseki, promised to scale up budgetary allocation on rural electrification, youths and women empowerment, and agriculture if elected for a second tenure in office.
Addressing members of PDP and supporters at Ugbekpe-Ekperi, Governor Godwin Obaseki said, God has blessed Ekperi land…I will make sure and everything possible to make sure that electricity comes to these land…
…Nigerians need food. We need to support those who are into agriculture”, he said.
On his part, the Chairman of PDP Campaign Council for Edo Governorship election, Chief Dan Orbih, urged the people to vote the Candidate of the party for continuity and sustainable development.
