PDP: Tinubu working to destabilize democracy in Edo


The Peoples Democratic party (PDP) has accused, Mr Bola Tinubu, national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) of influencing the failed plot to overthrow a democratic government through the legislative arm in Edo State.


The Chairman of PDP Campaign Council for Edo Governorship election, Chief Dan Orbih who disclosed this while briefing the Media on Saturday in Benin City, urged him to allow Edo people to decide their political destiny.

His comment comes barely 48 hours after three suspended lawmakers of the house and two others who seats were declared vacant by the led by the former Deputy Speaker, Hon. Yekini Idiaye attempted to break into the Assembly Complex, hold plenary and inaugurate the 12-members-elect who are loyal to Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, former Governor of the State.

Orbih warned Tinubu to stop fanning the emebers of war inEdo State through provacative utterances and wondered why the former Lagos State Governor speak up wheb Adams Oshiomhole divided the to 5th Assembly in Edo State by ordering the removal of the roof of the Complex and relocated elected legislators to Government house.

The Chairman of PDP Campaign Council charged him to focus on his “2023 epileptic Presidential ambition” in South Western part Nigeria, which he said is unattractive to Edo people.

He recalled that at some point during the tenure of Adams Oshiomhole when he was carrying out renovation at the State house of Assembly Complex, the house passed a resolution and relocated to Government house.

He also alleged that Tinubu had written a list of Commissioners for the Candidate of APC for the September 19, 2020 Governorship election in Edo State, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu ahead of the poll.
