Unknown gunmen have allegedly killed a Muslim Cleric in Batsari Area Council of Katsina State.

The death of Mallam Liman Tukur who was in charge of Friday prayers in the Mosque, has thrown the Muslim Community into mourning.

A security sources who confirmed the incident to TheNespad, said the late Cleric was killed in the main town of Batsari.

But, the Spokesman Gambo Isah of the Nigeria police, Katsina State Command, however promised to provide details soon.
