Two naval officers were shot dead on Thursday on Lokoja-Okene Expressway in Kogi State.

The incident which occurred at about 6p.m on Thursday, caused panic in the area for hours.

The Officer, a male and female, were traveling in a Toyota Sienna when they were stopped by the gunmen who opened fire, killing them immediately.

The State Commissioner of Police, Ayuba Ede, who confirmed the incident to The Punch, said, “I have dispatched my men there to bring me the details of how it happened.

Recall that an army captain, GSM Abubakar, was killed on the same road while his mother and wife were kidnapped.
