A Benin City-based Cleric in Edo State, Prophet Aghedo who predicted that Edo State Election Petition Tribunal will declare Prof. Oserheimen Osunbor winner of the State Governorship election 12 years ago, have declared support for Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, Candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the September 19, 2020 Governorship election.

Aghedo is leading other Clerics and Christian worshippers under the aegis of Alile Initiative Coalition to drum support for Ize-Iyamu through intercessory prayers.

The Cleric at the time delivered a mock judgement in favour of Osunbor of the Peoples Democratic Party.

But, the following week, Justice Peter Umeadi led panel of justices delivered the epic Election Tribunal judgement and declared Comrade Adams Oshiomhole who was at the time, the Candidate of the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN).

The Judgment was accordingly upheld by the court of Appeal.

Speaking after his emergence as the new President of the Coalition last week, Prophet Aghedo said, “It is time to expand the grassroots impact in Edo North and Edo Central Senatorial districts of the State.

According to him, “I and the President of the coalition is going to make it look so strong like a pressure group that can achieve anything it ever dreamt of. And by the grade of God, I am going to propel people to that point.

“Ministers of God are coming to fall in. Other Ministers of the gospel and members of churches and those who love good things will be joining”.
