Police authorities are launched investigation into report of a job syndicate who issued fake employment letters to job-seekers into the Bayelsa State Civik Service Commission with forged signature of Governor Douye Diri.

The syndicate were said to have fraudulently facilitated appointments into the organization using fake Governor’s letter head in connivance with some top Officials at the Commission and the State Treasury Department.

Chairman of the Bayelsa State Civil Service Commission, Dr Peter Singabele, stated this after he received the report of the Committee on Verification of Appointments inaugurated by the Bayelsa State Civil Service Commission in March, 2020.

Dr. Singabele who received the report from the Dr. Mightyman Dikuro-led employment letter verification panel, said disciplinary actions would be taken after studying the recommendations of the Committee according to the Civil Service rules of Nigeria.

He dismissed rumours of mass retrenchment of workers by Governor Douye Diri as a result of the development.

Singabele, assured all genuine Civil servants in the State not to panic over the report, stressing that no worker employed by the previous administration will be sacked.
