Nassarawa: Kidnapped CAN Chairman regains freedom

The CAN Chairman in Nassarawa State, Bishop Joseph Masin, has been released by his abductors.

He was released at the early hours of Sunday after spending three days in captivity of the kidnappers who had demanded for the sum of N20m (Twenty Million Naira) ransom.

The State Commissioner of Police in the State, Bola Longe confirmed the incident on Sunday.

He said the four arrested suspects will be charge to court for prosecution as soon as investigation is concluded, adding that the Command will arrest other suspects linked to the crime.

He denied any payment of ransom by the family of the kidnapped Cleric who was abducted on his way to his residence on Friday.

The son of the released CAN Chairman, Sam Joseph , also confirmed said that his father has regained freedom and was headed for medical examination at an undisclosed hospital.
