Police hunt for kidnappers of Naval Officer in Ondo


Police authorities have deployed tactical squads to rescue abducted Naval Officer in Ondo State.


The Officer whose identity has not been given, was allegedly abducted
by gunmen on Ose/Oba Akoko, Akoko North East Local Government in the State.

The Spokesman of the Nigeria police, Ondo, State Command, ASP Tee-Leo Ikoro confirmed the incident on Wednesday.

He emphasized that various tactical squads have been deployed to man the area.

He explained that the police have sought the support of the host Communities and hunters in a bid to checkmate and curtail crime on the said road.

The vehicle of the military personnel which was riddled with gunshots was ambushed by his captors on his way to Abuja.

TheNewspad reports that a Captain in the Nigerian Army has become one the latest victim of kidnap on “the black spot”.
