The State governor, Godwin Obaseki tweeted on Friday that five Covid-19 patients in the State recovered from the disease after testing negative twice to the virus.

Reacting to the announcement by the government, Pastor Ize-Iyamu, in a statement released by his Campaign Organization, commended the state government, urged Nigerians at large and residents of the State in particular not to despair but cling on to hope as Covid-19 will be defeated soon.

He said: “I received the news of the recovery and discharge of the five patients with huge relief. It is an encouraging development that will no doubt strengthen the hopes of the people and assure them that, indeed, we can win the battle against Covid-19 and return to normalcy again”.

Ize-Iyamu also urge the State government not to rest on its oars but address other areas requiring improvement in the fight against Covid-19 including expanding the state’s testing capacity.

He assured that if necessary steps are taken, it will slow the spread of the virus, protect the people against starvation, and ensure that other recoveries are recorded.
