Coronavirus has spread to Kano State, the state commissioner of health Aminu Ibrahim Tsanyawa said on Saturday.

Tsanyawa, who confirmed the first case to newsmen hinted thag the government will soon address journalists on the development.

The virus was first confirmed in Nigeria on February 27.

The development has set residents of the second largest City in Nigeria in a panicky mood.

Already, the State governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, has urged residents of the State to be calm, adding that necessary steps will taken to curtail the spread of the virus.
