COVID-19: Obasanjo donates shelter for isolation centre

Former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo has donated a shelter at the Presidential Hilltop, Abeokuta, Ogun State as Isolation centre for victims of the dreaded coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Obasanjo said the 32-room facility which is located at Oke-Sari, off the Presidential Boulevard, has a standby generator and the rooms all ensuite.

The property use to be his residence has been was handed over to the Ogun state government for immediate take over.

Obasanjo revealed this in a statement by his Special Assistant on Media, Kehinde Akinyemi on Friday.

The former Nigerian leader, expressed worry over the spread of the disease, saying the gesture would one way or the other assist the state government in addressing the situation.

Obasanjo in the statement said, “I think those who can in one way or another assist in this situation do so”.
